Curzon Ashton Community Foundation is pleased to announce a new ‘Community Partnership’ with Cromwell High School in Dukinfield.
The aim of this partnership is to build relationships with Cromwell High School and Curzon Ashton Community Foundation in a school setting and then encourage the pupils to attend activities outside of curriculum time for After School events/sessions or attending a Football session at the Tameside Stadium. This process will hopefully make some of the school pupils become more comfortable when seeing a familiar face in a community setting, and parents/carers can use Curzon Ashton FC as a well-known trusted hub for pupils to enhance their extra-curricular activity away from school.
Commenting on the partnership, Luke Davenport, PE Department, Cromwell High School:
‘First of all, I would like to thank Curzon Ashton Community Foundation for their willingness & co-operation in becoming our Community Partner and how excited we are as a school to create many memorable moments for our pupils in the near future.
All parties have agreed that pupils of Cromwell High School are at the heart of all future projects/session, and that as a partnership, we will do our upmost to make as many of the future projects/session accessible for our pupils and just as importantly, enjoyable.’
Mike Smith, Foundation Manager, Curzon Ashton FC, said:
‘We are thrilled to be working with Luke, Simon and the pupils at Cromwell High School, we hope that by creating a Community Partnership, we can offer a wide range of opportunities and activities for the pupils to engage with and look forward to welcoming them to The Tameside Stadium to cheer on The Nash.’
We will be working on many events/projects such as Ground Tours, After School Sports sessions, meet and greet Curzon Ashton FC players and attending Curzon Ashton FC First Team fixtures.
